Fox Rothschild was featured in the Law360 article, “Fox Rothschild Opens New Office In Chicago.” Full text can be found in the April 17, 2015, issue, but a synopsis is noted below.
Fox Rothschild expanded to 21 offices nationwide with the opening of a new office with four attorneys in Chicago. This is Fox’s first office in the Midwest, and will be run under Office Managing Partner Donna B. More.
Regarding the new office, the Fox’s Firmwide Managing Partner Mark Silow commented, “We have long maintained an interest in having an office in Chicago and a broader presence in the Midwest.”
He continued, “Donna, Jeff, David and Bill — who are renowned for their real estate, corporate, gaming law and litigation knowledge — are a superb addition to our nationally known practices and will immensely bolster our firm capabilities and services in these areas to clients in Illinois and throughout the country.”
The firm said that the new attorneys were added by its gaming practice chair in order to build upon its gaming practice area that is “internationally recognized.” Fox has been at the forefront of online gaming in the U.S. and was involved in gaming-related litigation before gaming control agencies, according to the firm.
“As the gaming market expands and the needs of our clients evolve, joining a firm like Fox Rothschild, with a national presence and full service scope, was the best fit for our clients,” said Donna B. More. “Fox has well-established and well-regarded gaming, litigation, corporate and real estate practices, and we are thrilled about the resources that this move brings to our team. We look forward to bringing the Fox name and brand to Chicago.”
More was the Illinois Gaming Board’s first chief legal counsel, a former assistant U.S. attorney and a former state’s attorney. She was also involved in the legalization of gaming in Illinois.
The firm stated, “This firsthand knowledge enables Donna to provide extensive insight and counsel to companies regarding licensing, compliance, investigations and commercial disputes.”
