Fox Rothschild is expected to experience a “big boost in their numbers” through a merger with the Minneapolis-based law firm of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP. The merger will be in effect January 4, 2016, and will raise Fox’s practicing attorneys to more than 700.

Fox Rothschild’s Mark L. Silow said, “Establishing a strong presence in the Upper Midwest is an important component in Fox’s overall strategic growth plan. The Oppenheimer firm offers us a chance to enter this important market in a robust way, adding an established group of attorneys with strong client relationships and deep roots in the community. This is also an especially good fit because our firms share many of the same strengths, and our clients will benefit from the depth we are adding with the Oppenheimer attorneys, especially in commercial litigation, corporate and M&A work.”

“We are thrilled to be joining a growing and entrepreneurial firm like Fox. This enables us to provide our clients with all the benefits of a large, full-size firm, with a national footprint, while maintaining the personal touch of a mid-sized firm,” added Brad Keil.

The merger places Fox Rothschild as a leader in the Minneapolis market and makes the Upper Midwest office among the firm's largest offices.
