Amy Kerr Parker, a commercial litigator with the Pittsburgh office of Fox Rothschild LLP, has been elected to the board of directors of Lydia’s Place, Inc., a non-profit agency that helps female offenders and their children in Allegheny County to rebuild their lives.
Parker’s litigation practice involves complex commercial disputes, employment actions, alternative dispute resolution proceedings and risk management.
Parker previously served as chair of the [email protected] networking chapter in Pittsburgh and has been a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run and a human education volunteer for Animal Friends. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and in 1997 she received her bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, also from the University of Pittsburgh.

Lydia’s Place (www.lydiasplace.org ) helps incarcerated and recently released women in Allegheny County to address their addictions and become stable, productive members of society. The organization also helps children and their caregivers to cope with the traumatic separation from a parent; strengthens relationships between incarcerated mothers and their children; assists mothers as they make permanency decisions for their children; and promotes policy changes that address the needs of incarcerated women and the children of prisoners.
