Fox Rothschild’s Santo Named to Economic Development Task Force of the Beaver County Chamber

Mark V. Santo, a partner with the Pittsburgh office of Fox Rothschild LLP, has been named to the “Ancillary Business to the Shell Ethane Cracker” committee of the Economic Development Task Force of the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce. The appointment was made by Task Force Chair and former County Commissioner Dennis Nichols.

The mission of the Task Force is to help Beaver County to start growing again by developing ambassadors among realtors and marketing professionals to help spread the news of the county’s many benefits and accomplishments. It’s also coordinating with PennDOT on the Freedom Crider Road construction and with Shell and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance to maximize new business potential and encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.

Santo, an international lawyer, has three decades of experience with the process industries and as general counsel to global multinational corporations in Europe, Asia and North America. He previously was a senior executive with the Leonardo Finmeccanica Group of Rome, Italy, one of the world's largest aerospace conglomerates. He served as Group VP and General Counsel of Finmeccanica’s Elsag Bailey Process Automation Group (NYSE: EBY) and was involved in international mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, resulting in Elsag Bailey’s revenue growing from $300 million to more than $2 billion within a decade. At the time of its sale to Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), Elsag Bailey was the second largest industrial process automation group in the world. He continues today to represent leading industrial process automation companies across the globe and has been involved in large refinery projects in the Middle East and Africa. He is also an Adjunct Professor of International Law at Duquesne University’s School of Law as well as Duquesne’s MBA program where he teaches international business strategy.

He is a Board Member of the American Middle East Institute and co-founder of the Western Pennsylvania International Business Forum.
