Fox Serves as Regulatory Counsel for New Empire Resort Project in New York

Nicholas Casiello Jr., chair of the Gaming Practice Group, and Patrick Madamba, Jr., counsel, at Fox Rothschild LLP, recently served as regulatory counsel for Empire Resorts, Inc. for the issuance of a gaming facility license to the proposed Montreign Resort Casino in New York.

Empire Resorts’ Montreign Resort Casino was one of three casino projects issued gaming facility licenses by the New York State Gaming Commission on December 21, 2015. All together the projects are expected to create more than 3,200 full-time jobs and generate $265 million in taxes, along with $136 million in licensing fees.

The Montreign Resort Casino project and the related Adelaar development, will include an 18-story casino and hotel complex, meeting spaces, an indoor waterpark, entertainment village and Monster Golf Course at a cost in excess of $1.2 billion.
