September 23, 2016 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Mark A. Platt has joined the firm in the Dallas office as a partner in the Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy Department.

“We are so thrilled to welcome Mark to the Dallas office,” said Clinton J. David, Fox’s Dallas office managing partner. “As the firm’s Texas presence continues to grow, we are always looking for top talent to join our team. Mark’s practice deepens the office’s capabilities, particularly in commercial litigation and bankruptcy, and will be a tremendous asset to our clients throughout the region.”

Platt has more than 20 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, primarily in restructuring and insolvency. He has appeared in bankruptcy and federal district courts throughout the country.

A frequent writer and speaker on bankruptcy topics, Platt recently served as co-chair of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation, and was a primary editor of Bankruptcy Litigation, the committee's quarterly newsletter. Mark now serves on the ABA Section of Litigation's Book Board.

Fox Rothschild entered the Texas market in 2014 through a strategic merger with Dallas-based David & Goodman, P.C. The office is home to attorneys who provide litigation, bankruptcy, corporate, labor, employment, IP, family law and real estate services to both business and individual clients in Texas and across the country.

Platt received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Previously, Platt was a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright and McGuireWoods.
