Green Lane Borough recently enacted a revised burning ordinance that will attempt to keep their residents safe and their air clean. The ordinance defines what residents can and cannot burn and what days are safe to do so. Though the original ordinance failed to specify burnable materials, David Comer, solicitor for the borough, said residents will no longer be able to burn plastic, rubber, domestic refuse and the like. Leaves and grass clippings are also prohibited from being burned.
