Jacob Perskie, an attorney in the Atlantic City office of Fox Rothschild LLP, was recently appointed Solicitor of the Atlantic County Democratic Committee.

With a goal to serve as a governing body of the Atlantic County Democratic Party while promoting the principles and platforms of the party, the committee serves as a grassroots organization for mobilizing Democrats and creating and protecting Democratic majorities at all levels of government. Selected by the party chairman, the solicitor assists all officers and committee members in carrying out the organization’s missions.

For Perskie, serving on the Atlantic County Democratic Committee is family business. Perskie’s cousin, Judge Steven Perskie, chaired the committee for several years while he sat in the New Jersey Senate. Steven Perskie spent seven years as the Superior Court Judge before serving as Chief of Staff for Governor Jim Florio and eventually Chairman of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission. In addition, Jacob Perskie’s great-uncle was also heavily involved in the committee while serving in the General Assembly in the late 1960s.

In his practice at Fox, Perskie represents clients from a broad spectrum of industries, including tech entrepreneurs, health care entities, physicians, construction companies and real estate developers. He has diverse and practical litigation experience in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Perskie has also drafted a number of successful appellate briefs and counseled clients and colleagues on the intricacies of the process.

Perskie received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
