Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Jay G. Ochroch will be honored with the esteemed Philadelphia Bar Association PNC Achievement Award.
The coveted award is presented annually to honorees who have made substantial and generous contributions toward improving the administration of justice. Ochroch will be recognized, along with fellow award winner Manny D. Pokotilow, at a celebratory event on December 7, 2016.
Ochroch is lauded for his tireless work and exemplary leadership with the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project, which provides bankruptcy counseling to the indigent. Ochroch joined Fox in 1960 and served as chair of the firm’s Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy Department for 25 years. Now senior counsel with the firm, Ochroch focused his practice on corporate refinancing and creditors’ rights matters.
With a long history of community involvement, Ochroch served two three-year terms as chair of the Hearing Committee 1.01 of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He was also actively involved with the Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority for more than 40 years, and during his tenure as chair, the development of Conshohocken and West Conshohocken rapidly progressed.
