JCP&L is Lowering Residential Rates

Jersey Central Power & Light has requested a $180 million rate decrease from the Board of Public Utilities due to contract changes that they have with power providers. Steven Goldenberg commented that the contracts pose a problem because the prices were established long-term but were based on market conditions in the mid-1990s when prices were lower.
