Jean Frydman to Serve on Food and Drug Law Institute’s Global Business Conference

Jean W. Frydman, partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, will serve as a panelist on “Bribery and Corruption Risks in the Global Market” as part of the Food and Drug Law Institute’s Global Business Conference.

The session will tackle the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the risks associated with doing business with third parties. Key risk areas when entering a new market will also be highlighted.

The Global Business Conference focuses on US businesses looking to expand into global markets and how the regulation of foods, drugs and medical devices differs in other countries.

A former general counsel for multinational pharmaceutical companies and a multinational retail dietary supplement company. Frydman has significant experience handling regulatory compliance matters for both private and publicly held pharmaceutical, medical device and dietary supplement companies. She regularly provides strategic legal and compliance reports to boards of directors and serves as a trusted legal adviser to executive management and business leaders. Frydman’s practice has a particular focus on operations and compliance systems, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 (FCPA), anti-bribery, consent decrees and off-label promotion.

Having spent more than 30 years in-house at major multinational pharmaceutical companies and a major dietary supplement company, Frydman possesses an in-depth knowledge of the regulatory and compliance issues facing clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device and dietary supplement industries. She has extensive experience in drug, medical device and dietary supplement promotional review and advises senior management on new Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rules, proactive submissions to the FDA, Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) compliance and other significant enforcement issues. She regularly counsels clients on commercial and regulatory/compliance efforts, helping to establish and execute comprehensive compliance programs as well as implement strategies to manage and reduce legal expenses.

Frydman earned her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law, her M.A., summa cum laude, from Central Michigan University and her B.S. from Ohio State University.
