Jeffrey Herskowitz To Chair Annual Milton and Betty Katz JCC Sports Night

The Milton and Betty Katz JCC will hold its annual Sports Night fundraiser on July 25, 2013, at its facilities in Margate City, NJ. Philadelphia Flyers player Danny Briere and Michael Barkann of Comcast SportsNet will be in attendance.

Jeffrey M. Herskowitz, partner in the Atlantic City and Philadelphia offices of Fox Rothschild LLP, will chair the fundraiser.

“This year’s Sports Night will provide interactive activities for families and sports enthusiasts, offering members of the community the opportunity to meet Flyers player Danny Briere and Philly talk show staple Michael Barkann. We look forward to hosting this exciting event and ultimately giving back to the community,” said Herskowitz.

Guests will enjoy high-end tailgate-style cuisine and an open bar; virtual reality sports games; sport-themed games of chances; an auction featuring rare sports memorabilia emceed by Barkann; and various other opportunities to win prizes, including a Vespa LX50.

The annual fundraiser supports JCC scholarships and furthers the organization’s mission to provide children and seniors of Atlantic County, as well as the community as a whole, with programs and services that enhance and enrich lives.

The Milton and Betty Katz JCC focuses on fostering an appreciation of Jewish identity, values and culture, to promote the health, education and welfare of its members, to strengthen Jewish family life, to build a sense of community and ensure Jewish continuity. The center is a member of the Jewish Community Center Association and is a constituency of the United Way and Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties.

In his practice at Fox Rothschild, Herskowitz focuses in commercial and residential real estate law, handling matters involving real estate acquisition, lending, tax appeals, land use and development, contracts and leasing.

Herskowitz is actively involved in his community and coaches youth football and ice hockey. He also served as a coach for the Cherry Hill Soccer Association and as a Little League baseball coach for the Cherry Hill Athletic League.
