Julia Swain of Fox Rothschild Elected Secretary of PBA’s Family Law Section

Philadelphia, PA – Julia Swain, an attorney with Fox Rothschild LLP, has been elected secretary of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. Her term as secretary begins January 1, 2008, and will ultimately result in her ascension to chair of the section in 2011.

Swain concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, including divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, and abuse. She also negotiates settlements and prenuptial agreements and litigates family law cases in the five-county Philadelphia area, including appellate courts.

Swain is an active member of the Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and has served as a member of the Executive Committee, and is co-chair of the Programs Committee. She is a frequent writer and speaker on family law issues. In 2006, Swain was selected as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” by Philadelphia Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine.

The Family Law Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association offers attorneys who practice in the domestic relations field opportunities to meet and network with other family law practitioners, and with Family Court judges and masters.
