December 10, 2014 – Press Releases

Kenneth H. Mack, partner at Fox Rothschild LLP, will be honored with the prestigious National Judge Learned Hand Award by the Central New Jersey Region of AJC at a ceremony on December 15 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton.

The National Judge Learned Hand Award was established in memory of the late Judge Learned Hand, a renowned American jurist who served on the federal trial court for New York State’s Southern District and, following that position, on the federal appeals court for New York, Connecticut and Vermont.

This annual award was created to cite leaders in the legal profession for excellence and for their contributions to the legal community, particularly in their embodiment of two of the key tenets for which Judge Learned Hand was known: the rights of the individual and the importance of democratic values in an orderly society.

This philosophy also sums up a major thrust of AJC’s work, which focuses on building mutual respect and understanding among diverse ethnic and religious groups; supporting Israel’s right to exist in peace and security; fighting the scourge of international terrorism, anti-Semitism and all forms of hatred and extremism; and defending democracy, religious freedom and human rights.

Named as one of the leading environmental attorneys in New Jersey by Chambers USA, Mack primarily focuses his practice in the areas of complex environmental, commercial, and toxic tort litigation and environmental aspects of real estate and commercial transactions.

Mack is the former chair of the firm’s New Jersey Litigation Department and former co-chair the firm's Environmental Law Group. ,He has been included in “Best Lawyers” for his work in Environmental Law and Litigation since 2007 and named as a "Super Lawyer" in Environmental Law since 2005 by New Jersey Monthly magazine and Law & Politics magazine.
