Law Firms See Boost From NJ Internet Gaming Work

April 16, 2014 – In The News

Nicholas Casiello Jr. was quoted in the Law360 article, "Law Firms See Boost From NJ Internet Gaming Work." Full text can be found in the April 16, 2014, issue, but a synopsis is noted below.

Companies in New Jersey’s Internet gaming industry have been utilizing the services of law firms quite frequently so far this year, with Fox Rothschild serving as a go-to firm for many companies, according to required filings with the state.

“All the major players are here already, and a few that aren't are likely to never come, but there are a lot of ancillary industries such as payment processors, alternative payment method companies and marketing affiliates that are still kicking the tires,” said Nicholas Casiello Jr.

Casiello noted that the firm receives work from Internet gaming service providers that established themselves in the state because of the licensing and regulatory issues. Fox has also been receiving work from advertising companies and marketing affiliates, intellectual property matters and various advertising issues, he said.

While Internet gaming is up and running in New Jersey, the companies have yet to be formally licensed and are currently operating under temporary approval, according to Casiello.
