Legislation Paves Way for Accountable Care Organizations in N.J.

Elizabeth Litten worked pro bono to draft the legislation that will help pave the way for Medicaid accountable care organizations (ACOs).

"The idea is to get the engagement of everyone at the table to figure out ways to improve care and save money," Litten said.

By passing its own legislation, Litten says New Jersey is taking the lead to define "our own vision" of Medicaid ACOs to address "what is unique about New Jersey."
