The Pasadena Playhouse and Wells Fargo Diversity Project have recently selected Abel Ramirez and Kenny Ortega to receive the ninth-annual Diversity Award. Accompanying the award ceremony was a play written by Josefina Lopez titled, “Real Women Have Curves.”

Darrell D. Miller, who is on the Diversity Committee Chair, stated “We are thrilled to be including the Latino community at The Playhouse. ‘Real Women Have Curves’ is for the Latino community what the play ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ was for the black community. It’s about making the umbrella as big as we can and including as much of our community as possible.”
