January 22, 2015 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Partners Peter J. Tucci and Alison Newman have been named co-chairs of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group.

The attorneys in the M&A group, composed of more than 75 of the firm’s corporate, tax and other lawyers throughout Fox’s national network of 20 offices, have a deep and varied experience with mergers and acquisitions.

Our M&A attorneys handle major acquisitions and divestiture activity for hundreds of national and international businesses. We also represent buyers and sellers of local companies,” said Jeffrey H. Nicholas, chair of the firm’s Corporate Department.

“Our practice also has a robust international dimension. Much of our deal work involves transactions for foreign companies looking to buy or sell a business in the United States and for U.S. companies expanding abroad,” added Nicholas.

Tucci handles an array of international and corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity transactions, corporate finance and insurance and reinsurance transactions. A Chambers USA-ranked attorney, he has worked on several hundred transactions throughout his career and served as the lead outside counsel on four of the 50 largest M&A transactions (with an enterprise value of more than $2.0 billion) as noted by the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2012. Tucci provides general corporate representation to many public and private companies, with a particular focus on advising European companies that are expanding or newly entering the U.S. market.

Newman provides corporate and securities law guidance to a diverse client base comprised of public and private companies, investment banks, venture capital firms and high-net-worth individuals. She possesses nearly three decades of experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private placement of securities, venture capital and private equity investments.
