Prince Thomas Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

The Legal Intelligencer has selected Prince Altee Thomas, counsel at Fox Rothschild LLP, among the recipients of its 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Thomas joins an esteemed group of Pennsylvania legal luminaries recognized for their work in shaping the law and having a distinct impact on the legal profession in the state.

As co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee, Thomas spearheads initiatives to promote firm-wide diversity and inclusiveness. The committee is comprised of attorneys and other professionals throughout the firm’s national network of offices who offer a variety of insights into successfully incorporating a diverse pool of talent. Thomas was recently honored with the Barristers' Association of Philadelphia, Inc.'s 2015 J. Austin Norris Award, which recognizes individuals who are improving the position of Blacks in the Philadelphia legal community.

Through his practice at Fox, Thomas has developed both a transactional and litigation practice. The breath of his experience in these areas enables him to effectively counsel clients on the full scope of their financial issues. He regularly represents creditors in chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases and is particularly known for his Chapter 7 volunteer work on behalf of indigent consumer debtors. Additionally, Thomas has handled bankruptcy matters across a variety of industries including banking, merchant credit card processing, student loans, commercial leases and taxes, among others.

Thomas serves on the board of the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project, which provides bankruptcy counseling to the indigent. He also serves as a board member of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group (PDLG).

An active member in his community, Thomas is a past treasurer and former executive board member of the Barristers and a past chair of the Minority Bar Committee (MBC) of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is the current co-chair of the MBC Community Outreach Subcommittee.
