October 11, 2010 – In The News

Law360 interviewed Patrick Egan regarding his white-collar compliance and defense practice and his legal career. Egan noted his most challenging case involved representing a metal refinery company executive who was indicted for conspiracy to defraud the government of Argentina out of more than $100 million in export incentives. Egan stated he had the opportunity to work with an incredible defense team who “filed some of the finest pre-trial motions I have ever been involved with and pressed the government to the brink.”

Discussing the accomplishment he is most proud of as an attorney, Egan stated, “It is tremendously satisfying to assist clients who are experiencing the unique trauma of being subjected to a federal criminal investigation, develop a relationship with them, gain their trust, help them through the process and obtain a positive result for them.”

Egan also commented on various aspects of the law in his practice area that are in need of reform and where he anticipates the next wave of cases will come from. He also advised young lawyers interested in his practice area that “persistence pays off in this field."
