Richard M. Meth, a partner in Fox Rothschild’s Roseland office, will speak on ethics and social media issues at the 21st Annual Convention of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys in San Diego, CA, on April 27.

Named one of the leading bankruptcy and restructuring attorneys by the Chambers USA, Meth focuses his practice on creditor's rights, workouts, reorganizations and insolvency-related issues. His clients include multinational, national and local corporations; leading commercial banks in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region; and major insurance companies and other institutional lenders. He has also represented various committees in Chapter 11 cases and been appointed as both an examiner and special Chapter 11 trustee by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.

Meth frequently appears before the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of New York, and also appears in the District of Delaware on behalf of clients.

A frequent lecturer, Meth speaks throughout the United States on bankruptcy-related topics, including ethics, bankruptcy sales, real estate workouts and bankruptcy/environmental matters, among others. Active in the legal community, he has served with distinction in various organizations, including the American Bankruptcy Institute, American Bar Association - Section of Business Law and Anti-Defamation League. He serves as a member of the District of New Jersey’s Local Bankruptcy Rules Revision Committee and the ABI’s National Ethics Task Force. Meth is also a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section, the National Association of Credit Management’s National Bankruptcy & Insolvency Group and Tufts University Alumni Association.

Meth has been consistently named a New Jersey “Super Lawyer.” In addition, he has been named one of “New Jersey’s Top Legal Minds” by the American Registry and included in a list of “Best Attorneys in New York” as well as the list of “Best Lawyers in America” by Best Lawyers.

Meth earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1975 and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Tufts University in 1972.
