Jeffrey Sultanik was quoted in The Morning Call article “Saucon Valley Teachers Make New Contract Proposal, District Rejects It.” While the full text can be found in the August 24, 2014, issue of The Morning Call, a synopsis is noted below.

Saucon Valley School District teachers have called off their strike vote and reached out to the school board to resume negotiations.

Sultanik said the school board is hoping this means the Saucon Valley Education Association will bring a new offer to the table. The board has no plans to submit a new proposal, he said.

“The board interprets this to mean that the association’s last proposal, contrary to the position of the association, was not a ‘final’ proposal as advertised by the union’s attorney,” Sultanik said. “The board remains hopeful that the association will submit a proposal that is more consistent with the school district employment marketplace.”
