The Saucon Valley teachers union and Saucon Valley School Board failed to come up with a new contract after meeting for three hours Friday.

Saucon Valley School District solicitor, Jeffrey Sultanik, said that the state mediator shuttled between the two sides, with no official offers exchanged.

Sultanik explained that he believes the negotiating team "will presumably ask the members for a strike authorization and that the union is requesting a continuance of the November 24 unfair labor practice hearing that the district will oppose."
