Sherry Barag of Fox Rothschild Becomes CORE Registered Paralegal

August 11, 2011 – Press Releases

Sherry Barag, a paralegal in the Intellectual Property Department of Fox Rothschild LLP, recently passed the National Federation of Paralegal Associations' (NFPA) Paralegal CORE Competency examination.

As one of 224 candidates who took the pilot exam on June 11, Barag is one of the first paralegals entitled to use the designation CORE Registered Paralegal (CRP) after her name.

The exam consisted of 125 multiple choice questions relating to the paralegal practice and substantive areas of law and covered such topics as legal writing, research and analysis as well as business organizations, contracts, criminal law, real estate and torts. The exam will be made available at Prometric/Sylvan Learning Centers throughout the United States after November 1.

Barag, who has worked with the firm for more than 10 years, will detail her experience with the exam in an article to be published in NFPA’s National Paralegal Reporter magazine.
