Aside from presenting U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor with the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Diversity Award and renaming the award after her, the highlight of the association's recent quarterly meeting was the lively question-and-answer session.

Abraham C. Reich asked Justice Sotomayor why members of the high court have not adopted a code of judicial conduct, a code that would include rescuing themselves from cases where there are potential conflicts or personal biases. Reich said he feels passionate about the subject, noting that several esteemed law professors have asked Congress to pass a law that would require the high court to adopt such a code.
