The National Law Journal Names Fox’s Daniel Farris to List of Trailblazers in Cybersecurity

November 1, 2017 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Daniel L. Farris, co-chair of the firm’s Technology Practice, was named to The National Law Journal’s prestigious list of Trailblazers in Cybersecurity.

Farris was lauded for charting a new course in cybersecurity and privacy law by merging the technical expertise of a software engineer and network administrator with the regulatory and compliance advice of a seasoned attorney. Honorees were selected from hundreds of nominated attorneys.

The distinction, part of the paper’s annual Trailblazers series, is presented to attorneys whose work has a significant impact in the fight against criminal cyber activity and moved the needle toward adding layers of needed data security.

At Fox, Farris focuses on four areas:

  • technology transactions
  • privacy and data security
  • data center and infrastructure matters
  • intellectual property and corporate transactions

His background as a software engineer and network administrator gives him the ability to bridge the gap between a business’s general counsel’s office and its IT department. He brings real-world experience to bear in counseling on a wide range of issues, including fiber optic networking, cloud computing, mobile app development, information management, privacy and data security.
