Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to note that Partner Robert W. Ray was named a White-Collar Crime Trailblazer by The National Law Journal.

The nationally recognized distinction is presented to attorneys who show deep passion and perseverance in pursuit of their mission in white collar criminal defense litigation. Honorees are selected from hundreds of nominated attorneys and are interviewed to determine what has driven them to obtain the level of success achieved in their practice.

Noted for his work as a former federal prosecutor in New York and head of the Office of the Independent Counsel in Washington, D.C., Ray was responsible for the In Re Madison Guaranty investigation, which concluded with the final reports of the Whitewater scandal, Monica Lewinsky and the FBI files controversy as well as resolving all then-open investigative matters against former President Bill Clinton before leaving office.

Co-chair of the firm’s White-Collar Compliance & Defense Practice, Ray advocates his clients’ interests in white-collar criminal defense matters, corporate governance and compliance issues, internal investigations and general litigation, including civil RICO and commercial fraud.

He has extensive first chair trial experience handling more than 25 federal jury trials to verdict in matters ranging from fraud, extortion, bribery, real property and health care law to white-collar criminal defense, including sophisticated prosecutions – as both a prosecutor and as a defense attorney – involving RICO, terrorism, violent crime, cybersecurity and public corruption offenses as well as securities fraud.
