Tintner of Fox Rothschild Named Philadelphia VIP’s August Volunteer of the Month

August 11, 2008

Robert S. Tintner, a partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, was recently named August Volunteer of the Month by the Philadelphia Volunteers for the Indigent Program (VIP). Tintner has volunteered with the program since 1994, when he was a first-year associate at Fox Rothschild.

Tintner was recognized for providing assistance to VIP clients with complex title issues. In many cases, the homes of those Tintner aids are in severe disrepair or are facing tax foreclosure or utility shut-offs. Thanks to Tintner’s assistance, his clients are able to access home repair grants and/or enter into property tax and utility payment plans available to deed holders. His work allows families facing homelessness to remain in their homes.

Tintner is currently working on two such cases while also mentoring other VIP attorneys who are unfamiliar with this area of law. Said VIP in a written statement, “[t]here are few private attorneys who handle quiet title matters in their private practice, and thus Bob’s experience is that much more valuable to both the VIP staff and our clients.”

Tintner focuses his practice on all aspects of condemnation litigation, commercial litigation, representation of attorneys and law firms, defamation and first amendment matters, intellectual property litigation, and real estate litigation, including title insurance matters.
