Sarah Beth Johnson was appointed to the 10-person volunteer Tourism District Advisory Commission. The commission will serve with government, industry and tourism representatives to provide feedback on district issues.

Volunteers were chosen by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, which sought individuals with experience volunteering, interest or expertise in tourism, marketing, resort management, financial planning and strategy or community and economic development.

Johnson, who is a resident of Atlantic City, will serve two years on the panel. On her motivation to get involved, Johnson stated, "My husband and I moved in here in 2007, and we had a little boy last year, so we feel pretty committed to the future of Atlantic City. I wanted to contribute in any way I could and felt like joining the [Tourism District] Advisory Commission would be a good way to do that."
