Yesenia Gallegos and Nancy Yaffe, all partners in the Los Angeles office of Fox Rothschild LLP, were highlighted as 2014 “Women Making a Difference” by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

The firm was also selected as a finalist in the Corporate Advocate category.

The Business Journal recently held a symposium and awards event to honor the 248 women noted for their leadership and for successfully blending an effective business vision with a passionate commitment to positively making a difference both in the business world and their communities.

In the Corporate Advocate category, Fox’s Women’s Initiative, along with Yaffe, who serves as co-chair of the group, were highlighted. Noted for its dedication to promoting women attorneys within the firm, the Women’s Initiative was selected for its comprehensive, firm-wide program that assists with business development, helping women attorneys gain leadership positions in the firm and connecting women attorneys with one another to provide personal and professional support and guidance.

Yaffe was lauded in the accompanying Business Journal article for her “tremendous loyal network of female clients and contacts and [how] she is always looking for ways to connect women in business…[She] gives countless hours to new attorneys at the firm as they learn to navigate the demands of the legal profession.”

A leader in the community, Gallegos currently serves as the Hispanic National Bar Association’s (HNBA) Regional President for Southern California and she was the national chair of HNBA’s Women’s Leadership Conference. Known for her professional excellence, integrity, leadership and commitment to the legal and Latino/a community, Gallegos is seen as a mentor to other female attorneys throughout the firm.
