Variety Spotlights Darrell D. Miller and Francesca Grea as Top DealmakersDecember 5, 2017 – Press Releases
For the fifth consecutive year, Darrell D. Miller, chair of the Entertainment Law Practice at Fox Rothschild LLP, has been recognized by Variety in its prestigious annual Dealmakers Impact Report. For the first time the publication also named Francesca Grea to its Up Next List, highlighting dealmakers under 35.
The coveted list features the top professionals behind Hollywood’s biggest deals in 2017. According to Variety, the Dealmakers Impact Report “fetes the powerbrokers of the entertainment industry” by focusing on those who are “driving the most significant deals in the business.”
Renowned in the industry, Miller negotiates career-making deals for Hollywood elite and leverages every step on their ladder of success to continue building their personal brands.
As a prime example of his many successful negotiations, Miller closed a deal for Courtney B. Vance to star in the hit TV show “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson,” which paved the way for a breakout performance that earned Vance the 2016 Emmy® and catapulted him to a new level of stardom. Among many other accomplishments, Miller also served as lead legal negotiator for Cheo Hodari Coker’s deal to become the first African American writer/executive producer in the history of the wildly successful Marvel Comics properties to be attached to a high-budget live action series.
An up-and-coming dealmaker, Grea is making a name for herself building and maximizing client brands by cultivating innovative and sophisticated strategies for growth. She played a key role in negotiating talent deals for well-known football player Antonio Cromartie, his wife Terricka, and five of their children to star in a reality show about their life as a blended family of 14, which recently debuted on USA Network. She works alongside Miller to continue transforming multiple-platinum-selling rapper Chris “Ludacris” Bridges into a true crossover artist with acting roles in TV and film and represents actress Angela Lewis who has a series regular role on the hit show, Snowfall.
