Veteran Health Law Attorney Debra Gruenstein Joins Fox Rothschild in Philadelphia

April 24, 2017 – Press Releases

In a significant addition to its health law practice, Fox Rothschild LLP announced that Debra L. Gruenstein has joined the firm as a partner in its Philadelphia office.

“Debra is a renowned health law attorney and we are thrilled that she is joining our team,” said Stephanie Resnick, Fox’s Philadelphia office managing partner. “She adds value because of her stellar reputation and her wealth of experience.”

Gruenstein has been representing doctors and other non-institutional health care providers in business and regulatory issues for more than 30 years. She advises on compliance with the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, as well as a full range of corporate and business matters.

She is particularly fluent in the unique concerns that health care providers must address in their shareholder, partnership and employment agreements. She regularly advises on sales of medical practices and other major transactions, including mergers, joint ventures, real estate acquisitions and leases, negotiation of managed care agreements and hospital physician arrangements. She has worked extensively with ambulatory surgical centers and physician investors in a variety of health care related ventures.

Gruenstein also represents law firms, architects, chemical companies, restaurants, travel agencies and electronics distributors in corporate, real estate and business transactions.

She is a frequent speaker on health law issues and serves as an annual lecturer at the American Academy of Pediatrics Career Day.

Gruenstein earned her J.D. from Temple University School of Law, magna cum laude, and her A.B., cum laude, from Temple University.

Prior to joining Fox, Gruenstein was a name partner at Karafin & Gruenstein P.C.
