Wali W. Rushdan II Receives Rutgers Law Recent Graduate Award

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Wali W. Rushdan, II will be honored by Rutgers Law School with the Recent Graduate Award at the school’s 7th annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Celebration on November 16.

The award recognizes alumni for their contributions to the legal profession and service to the community.

An attorney in the firm’s Wilmington office, Rushdan handles a variety of litigation and transactional matters in the areas of intellectual property, corporate litigation, commercial and residential real estate and entertainment law.

Active in the community, Rushdan has a wide range of experience assisting organizations in volunteer and leadership capacities. He is co-chair of the board of directors of the Achievers Program Inc., a self-development and leadership training program for young men in Delaware.

Additionally, Rushdan is the former governance chairman for the African American Empowerment Fund, a Delaware nonprofit entity funding projects and initiatives to improve education and socio-economic development opportunities in urban communities, vice president of the Delaware Barristers Association, a board member of the Rutgers Law School (Camden) Alumni Association and a member of Delaware’s Access to Justice Commission.

Rushdan was previously named to Chains Inc.’s 40 Under 40 list and as an Emerging Leader in the Law by Manna Christian Fellowship Church.

Rushdan earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Camden, 2012, his B.A. from the University of Delaware, 2006 and his A.A. from Delaware Technical & Community College, 2003.
