Wendy G. Rothstein, partner in the Blue Bell office of Fox Rothschild LLP, was recently appointed to serve on the Long Range Planning Committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association (MBA).
The Long Range Planning Committee is charged with reviewing the current state of the MBA, determining whether it has met its goals and deciding what changes to make in light of the members’ needs and changes in the legal profession. The Committee develops and oversees the implementation of a long range strategic plan, which lays out the bar’s objectives in areas of governance and administration, membership, member and public services, the relationship between the bench and the bar and the MBA’s role in the affairs of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
One of the top litigators in Montgomery County, Rothstein’s diverse litigation practice includes commercial and business litigation; alternative dispute resolution, including commercial arbitrations and mediation; employment litigation involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, fiduciary duties, defending employers in employment discrimination suits and defending wage and hour claims; and real estate, tax assessment and land use and zoning litigation.
Widely known and respected in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, Rothstein worked in the courthouse prior to law school and spent her entire legal career there since 1982. Rothstein also served as chair of the firm’s Montgomery County Litigation Department from 1996 through 2008.
Rothstein is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery County Bar Associations and serves as the Vice Chair of the Bench Bar Committee, and is a member of the Judiciary and Civil Rules Committees of the Montgomery County Bar Association. She has served as a court-appointed Discovery Master since 2001. She earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore in 1982 and her B.S. from Temple University in 1978, graduating cum laude from both.
