October 10, 2013 – Press Releases

Wendy G. Rothstein, partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, has been named by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of its 2013 Women of Distinction.

Rothstein will be among the region’s most dynamic women honored on November 19, from 5 to 9 p.m. at an awards ceremony at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel. This year’s honorees will also be profiled in a special section of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s November 15 issue.

“I am honored to be included among some of the most distinguished female leaders in the region,” said Rothstein. “I truly value being a part of this community and helping to pave the way for the next generation of distinguished women.”

"Philadelphia Business Journal is thrilled to honor the women who are true role models in our region in professional achievement and in community service," said Craig Ey, editor-in-chief of Philadelphia Business Journal. "The 2013 Women of Distinction winners, in particular, embody all of what makes the Philadelphia region great: people who are very talented, passionate about what they do and committed to personal, professional and community success."

Rothstein focuses her practice on solving business problems for both for-profit and non-profit entities. When working with clients, she develops plans and strategies for companies to navigate through both the everyday and unique challenges that arise in the course of doing business. She also counsels businesses on avoiding litigation when possible and represents them in successfully prosecuting and defending litigation when necessary.

Known as the “go to” person for Montgomery County litigation, Rothstein served as the chair of the firm’s Montgomery County Litigation Department from 1996 through 2008. Recognized among the top litigators in Montgomery County, she is widely known and respected in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, having worked in the courthouse prior to law school and practiced there her entire legal career, since 1982.

Rothstein was the first female attorney hired at the law firm of Pearlstine Salkin, Associates in September 1982 (the firm merged with Fox Rothschild in 1996), and she was the first female Litigation Department Head at Fox’s Montgomery County Office.
