William Bogot Admitted to the Michigan Bar

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates William Bogot, a partner in the firm’s Gaming Practice, who was admitted to the Michigan Bar and officially sworn in on November 2.

Bogot, who practices out of Fox’s Chicago office, represents clients before government agencies in highly regulated industries. A former legal adviser to the Illinois Gaming Board (IGB), he guides gaming industry companies, suppliers and investors in navigating complex gaming laws. He regularly defends gaming licensees in proceedings before the IGB and has successfully prevented the IGB from taking away gaming licenses. Bogot also advises clients on many aspects of gaming, including promotional sweepstakes, contests, fantasy sport leagues and charitable raffles.

Additionally, Bogot counsels clients in the medical cannabis industries as well as clients with banking and U.S. Department of Treasury issues relating to medical cannabis transactions.

Bogot earned his J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, his M.P.H. from University of Illinois and his B.A. from University of California, Santa Cruz.
