James Singer Named to IAM’s List of Leading Patent Attorneys

James M. Singer, partner in the Pittsburgh office of Fox Rothschild LLP, was recently named to Intellectual Asset Management’s (IAM) list of leading patent practitioners—the IAM Patent 1000.

A registered patent attorney, Singer provides thoughtful and strategic guidance to clients throughout the process of identifying, acquiring, licensing and protecting their intellectual property assets. He possesses comprehensive knowledge of patent, trademark, copyright and trade secrets laws, assisting his business clients in making sure that new technologies are sufficiently documented and protected. Singer handles patent prosecution, infringement studies, design-around analyses, technology licensing and transfer, and intellectual property diligence and strategy for clients across a range of industries, including electronics, energy, software, robotics and medical devices.

Singer is a member of the WQED Multimedia Community Advisory Board and a founding board member of Silk Screen, the Asian American Film Festival. He is past president of the Penn State Alumni Association Allegheny County Chapter and a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh, Inc.’s Leadership Development Initiative.
Singer earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1994 and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in 1989.
