Jeffrey S. Kravitz and Darrell D. Miller Named “Angelenos to Know in Intellectual Property Law”

Jeffrey S. Kravitz, managing partner of the firm’s Los Angeles office, and Darrell D. Miller, chair of Fox Rothschild’s national Entertainment Department, have been named “Angelenos to Know in Intellectual Property Law” by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Kravitz and Miller were chosen from a list of nominees for their outstanding achievements in intellectual property transactions and/or litigation. They were featured in a special supplement that was released October 29th.
Named one of the leading intellectual property, trademark, copyright and trade secrets attorneys in California by Chambers USA, Kravitz has deep experience with matters involving copyrights, trademarks, unfair competition, media, libel and trade secret law. In his practice spanning more than 30 years, Kravitz has tried more than 25 cases to verdict or judgment.
Kravitz serves as co-chair of the firm’s Media, Defamation and Privacy Law practice. His entertainment practice includes representation of a wide variety of clients, including production companies, studios and individuals. He has aided those clients with litigation needs, particularly in the areas of copyright infringement, invasion of privacy and sexual harassment.
Kravitz is a member of the Los Angeles Copyright & Trademark Society, British American Business Council, National Association of Railroad Trail Counsel, American Bar Association Sub-Committee on Communications Law and is director of the Westwood Homeowners Association. He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1975 and his B.A., cum laude, from University of California at Los Angeles in 1972.
Miller was recently named the Entertainment Attorney of the Year by the National Bar Association and is consistently named in the Top 50 Showbiz Players by Black Enterprise Magazine.
With over 20 years of experience in entertainment law, Miller has established himself as the go-to person for providing celebrities, executives, production companies, and others in the industry with guidance toward formulating innovative strategies for career growth. He is able to assist clients in monetizing and protecting their brands, building multiple revenue streams and leveraging new technology and social networking to expand their brands.
During his career, Miller has cultivated long-standing relationships with numerous studio and network executives and creative personnel, including artists, writers, directors and producers associated with a variety of award-winning television shows and motion pictures.
Miller is a member of the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association Hall of Fame, Beverly Hills Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, American Bar Association (Section Member, Forum on Entertainment and Sports Industries), Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association (Past Chair of the Board of Directors, President and Executive Committee Member) and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Past Member Board of Governors and Executive Committee and Past Chair of Membership and Diversity Committees). He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1990 and his B.F.A. from the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in 1985.
