Google Announces Privacy Changes

Fox News Radio Affiliates

January 26, 2012

Fox News called on Scott Vernick to discuss Google's latest privacy changes, which will alter the way the company tracks user activity. In the past, Google tracked the user activity of each of its sites separately. Now user activity will be tracked across all of its sites, including Gmail and YouTube,  to give the company a sense of how users interact with its sites on a larger scale. While Google believes it will enhance user experience and enable them to tailor ads to a specific user's interests, many speculate the company will receive scrutiny from federal regulators for its practices.
