Docs Have Less Control Over MU Stage 2 Incentives

Elizabeth G. Litten’s recent blog post titled “Patients' "Meaningful Use" of Electronic Health Information Proposed as Core Measure for Provider Incentive Payments from Feds” was featured in an article on FierceEMR.

The blog post discusses the Stage 2 Proposal of the EHR incentive program.

According to Litten, “The Stage 2 Proposal will incentivize providers to continue this trend toward meaningful use of EHRs, but [it] is also likely to result in providers’ efforts to induce to their patients to become EHR users.”
