Fox Rothschild Picks Up Three Partners for Los Angeles Office

Fox Rothschild LLP has announced that three new lateral partners have joined the firm’s Los Angeles office. Jeffrey S. Kravitz and Martin D. Fern, who both come from Silver & Freedman, will join the Litigation and Corporate Departments, respectively. Donald S. Urrabazo, who comes from Morgan Lewis, joins the Litigation Department.
“These three partners offer an incredible amount of experience in their respective areas,” said Mark Silow, Fox Rothschild’s Administrative Partner and Chief Operating Officer. “To add Jeff, Martin and Donald to our firm is a great growth move for us in both the litigation and corporate areas. Together, these partners will help us expand our practices to gain an even stronger national footprint, and will add particular strength to our intellectual property and entertainment teams in Los Angeles. Jeffrey Kravitz focuses on intellectual property and entertainment matters. His practice includes business and intellectual property litigation for copyrights, trademarks, unfair competition, media, libel, and trade secret law. Kravitz is a Board of Advisors member and outside counsel for the National Sports Marketing Network.
Prior to joining Fox, Kravitz was a partner in the intellectual property and entertainment practices at Silver & Freedman and at Lord Bissell & Brook LLP, where he was managing partner of the Los Angeles office from 1999-2002.
Kravitz received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1975, and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1972. He is admitted to practice in California.
Martin Fern also joins the firm from Silver & Freedman where he was a partner in the New Media, Technology & Intellectual Property Practice. He focuses his practice on corporate, franchising and intellectual property matters. A sought after speaker and author, Fern is the author of Fern’s Forms, which have appeared on LexisNexis since 1986. He also authored Warrens Forms of Agreements, an eight volume treatise and practice guide on business contract law (LexisNexis, 1985-2008). Fern has published numerous articles in California and American Bar Association publications. He has given speeches before academic and bar associations on franchise, intellectual property, and contract law subjects.
Fern received his J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law in 1967, and a B.A. from the City University of New York (CCNY) in 1964. He is admitted to practice in California and New York.
Donald Urrabazo focuses his practice on complex litigation matters relating to media, advertising, entertainment, securities and general business disputes. He has represented Fortune 500 companies in trademark, patent litigation, intellectual property issues, bankruptcy, and general corporate areas. Prior to joining the firm, Urrabazo was counsel at the Los Angeles office of Morgan Lewis.
Urrabazo received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1993, and a B.S., magna cum laude, in political science from Santa Clara University in 1988. He is admitted to practice in California.
