Biography

Phil concentrates his practice in corporate, tax law and estate planning. His more than 50 years of experience includes:

  • tax planning and counseling for high–net worth individuals and large, closely held enterprises
  • negotiating sales, mergers, and acquisitions of a variety of businesses involving cash, stock securities, or property with values of up to $600 million
  • balancing the complex needs of business owners and their families, including intergenerational relationships of family-owned companies

Phil also advises clients on how to safeguard economic security without pyramiding eventual estate taxes, through:

  • gift programs
  • restructuring stock and property ownership
  • creating insurance funds for supplemental benefits
