Welcome to the June edition of In the Zone. This newsletter introduces a new column to In the Zone called “Zoning and the City” that discusses hot new developments in zoning and land use occurring in Philadelphia.

We’ve also packed this issue with information you need to know – including articles on New Jersey Governor Corzine’s conditional veto of Senate Bill No. 2577, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling that municipalities must act on all land use applications, negotiating natural gas rights and more.

Later this month, be sure to visit us at booth #30 at the ULI Urban Marketplace on June 25th in Philadelphia.

On a personal note, we’d like to congratulate Clair Wischusen, an incoming associate of Fox Rothschild, who recently received the Reuben E. Cohen Memorial Award at the Temple Beasley School of Law Graduation Awards Ceremony on May 21, 2009. The Reuben E. Cohen Memorial Award honors the graduating student with the highest academic achievement in the area of law related to zoning and land development.

Clair graduated cum laude from Temple Beasley School of Law on May 21, 2009, where she was Executive Editor of Notes and Comments for the Temple Journal of Science, Technology and Environmental Law. She will be joining the firm’s Warrington office in September 2009 and will focus her practice on real estate, zoning and land use matters.

Please join us in welcoming Clair this fall and enjoy this edition of In the Zone!
