Pennsylvania Enacts Tax Amnesty ProgramFebruary 9, 2010 – Articles The Legal Intelligencer
Legislation has been enacted (Act 48) to establish the Pennsylvania Tax Amnesty Program. The amnesty program begins on April 26 and will end on June 18, 2010. All taxes owed to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue are eligible for amnesty.
If a taxpayer complies with the requirements of the amnesty program, the taxpayer will be required to pay all delinquent taxes, but 50 percent of the applicable interest on the delinquent taxes and all penalties for failure to file returns or pay taxes will be abated.
