Zoning and Land Use Chairmen’s Message (May 2008)

May 2008 In The Zone

Printer Friendly

The May issue of In the Zone is packed with information – from rulings regarding professional engineers, who may soon learn whether and when certain services they perform will no longer be protected from the penal provisions of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (the CFA), to Zoning Hearing Board decisions in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

This month, readers will find articles on rulings regarding subdivision of property without the benefit of subdivision approval and a determination that the New Jersey Fair Housing Act does not trump the New Jersey Condominium Act, as well as a look at how brownfield redevelopment in Pennsylvania will be impacted by the Uniform Environmental Covenants Act. We also offer a look at proposed legislation in Pennsylvania, and an update on PECO’s filing for a natural gas rate increase.

Finally, thanks to all of our clients and friends who joined us at the 59th Annual Builders Convention. It was a pleasure to see you all!
