Biography

Raquel focuses her practice on labor and employment matters, with a particular emphasis on FLSA and wage and hour claims. She has experience in a wide range of litigation tasks, including taking and defending depositions, motion practice and oral argument, drafting pleadings, and managing and reviewing discovery. Raquel took the lead in one trial in U.S. District Court and served as second-chair attorney in two additional federal court trials. She also has experience negotiating and drafting settlement agreements and confidentiality agreements.

Before Fox Rothschild

Immediately after law school, Raquel worked for three years in the Office of the District Attorney of Kings County, where she handled cases ranging from attempted murder to insurance fraud and identity theft. She took cases to trial, conducted suppression hearings, presented evidence to the grand jury, prepared victims and witnesses for trial testimony and negotiated plea agreements.

Prior to joining Fox, Raquel was an associate at a New York-based law firm.

She was also a legal intern at the Federal Litigation Clinic and a judicial intern to the Honorable Ramon E. Reyes, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
