Biography

A longtime and renowned banking law leader in the South Florida business community, Raúl possesses in-depth experience in corporate and banking matters. In practice for more than four decades, he is a dedicated advocate to many professional, trade and civic groups and has spent significant time in elected government positions throughout his career.

Before Fox Rothschild

Raúl has been a prominent member of the local and business community in Coral Gables and Miami Dade County. He has held numerous elected leadership positions throughout the course of his career, including Mayor of the City of Coral Gables from 1993 to 2001, as well as Vice Mayor (1987-1988) and City Commissioner (1985-1989).

Raúl was senior tax counsel for Creole Petroleum Corporation in Caracas, Venezuela, and also served as tax counsel for Standard Oil Company in New Jersey. He has also been a partner at several law firms in South Florida.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Extensively involved in the community, Raúl currently sits on the board of directors of the Dante Alighieri Society and is vice president of the Centro Cultural Español.

Throughout his career, Raúl has been deeply committed to serving the business, professional, nonprofit and civic communities in South Florida. Apart from the above, he has held numerous appointments and memberships, including:
