Fox Rothschild Lands in the Lone Star StateSeptember 30, 2014 – Press Releases
In an expansion that marks the opening of its 20th office nationwide and its first Texas location, Fox Rothschild LLP has added 18 lawyers to its ranks through an October 1 merger with Dallas-based David & Goodman P.C.
“This merger with David & Goodman gives us a strong position in Texas, where we have wanted to establish a presence for some time,” said Firmwide Managing Partner Mark L. Silow. “Texas is a hub for real estate, litigation, energy and corporate work.”
Silow further stated that Fox already has a significant number of clients that are either based in Texas or who have significant operations in Texas, and this merger will only enhance the level and scope of services Fox can provide to those clients. Moreover, an office in Texas will further assist Fox’s growing Energy and Natural Resources Practice, which was formed earlier this year with the addition of key player Brent D. Chicken in the firm’s Denver office.
Founded more than 30 years ago, David & Goodman has a strong foothold in the Dallas market, primarily handling litigation, real estate, corporate, employment and family law matters for clients of all sizes and types, ranging from individuals and startups to Fortune 500 corporations.
“As the needs of our clients have continued to develop, we are anxious to position ourselves to offer the breadth of resources available through a full-service, national firm, particularly with a firm of the reputation of Fox Rothschild,” said Clinton J. David, founder and former managing shareholder of David & Goodman and now current office managing partner of Fox’s Dallas location. “We are extremely excited to join a dynamic, growing and entrepreneurial firm like Fox and look forward to helping the firm establish its brand and expand its footprint in Texas.”
As part of the October 1 merger, Fox adds Partners, Christopher I. Clark, David Grant Crooks, Clinton J. David, Mark A. Goodman, Daniel J. Madden and Robert J. Palmer. Joining as Associates are K. Patrick Babb, Tressie E. McKeon and Andrew Nikolopoulos.
Fox has demonstrated strategic growth across the country over the past few years, most recently merging with MBV Law in San Francisco and Lottner Rubin Fishman & Saul in Denver as well as expanding its South Florida presence with the opening of a Miami office.
