Ashley helps national and regional clients navigate a range of COVID-19 compliance issues, as well as litigation, appeals and land use matters, particularly those regarding North Carolina’s state and municipal laws. Ashley has managed business disputes and contract and tort issues before state and federal courts, and has facilitated appeals before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court and the North Carolina Court of Appeals. In addition, her experience with land use matters extends to navigating zoning and other land use matters in Eastern North Carolina jurisdictions.
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox, Ashley was a judicial clerk to the U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert Numbers of the Eastern District of North Carolina. She was also a summer associate at Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP. which combined with Fox Rothschild in 2018.
Ashley previously served as a law clerk in the office of the President Pro Tempore of the North Carolina General Assembly, a judicial intern to the Judge Jennifer W. Elrod of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Before law school, she was a government and community relations intern and a legal intern with International Justice Mission in La Paz, Bolivia.
