Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Darrell D. Miller, Shelly A. Solomon and Gregory B. Williams for their inclusion on the 2018 list of the “Most Influential Black Lawyers” by Savoy Magazine.
This annual list highlights legal professionals in leading national law firms who have distinguished careers and community involvement.
Miller, chair of the firm’s nationwide Entertainment Law Department, is a renowned and recognized attorney who represents celebrities, top executives and major corporate clients. A former professional singer and performer, he offers a unique perspective to his clients that has allowed him to transform the careers of some of today’s top-tier entertainers and serve as a trusted adviser to stars who credit him as a central factor in their enduring success, including rapper/actor Chris "Ludacris" Bridges and producer and best-selling author TD Jakes, among many others.
As a testament to his influence on entertainment law, Miller was named a “Power Lawyer” in 2018 by The Hollywood Reporter for the third consecutive year and, over the past five years, was acknowledged multiple times among the most influential attorneys in the entertainment business in Variety Magazine’s Legal Impact and Dealmakers Impact Reports.
Solomon is the firm’s Associate General Counsel. She provides risk management guidance to more than 800 attorneys throughout Fox’s nationwide network of offices, advising on compliance with the rules of professional conduct and helping to identify and resolve conflicts of interest. She is an active member of the community who mentors law students from diverse backgrounds and volunteers for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Solomon is a member of the American Bar Association Center for Professional Responsibility, serves as Secretary of the Temple Law Alumni Association’s Executive Committee and was recently nominated to the Philadelphia Legal Assistance Board of Directors.
Williams, a trial attorney and litigator with more than 23 years of experience, represents clients in commercial, intellectual property, products liability and other business litigation matters. He is former Wilmington Office Managing Partner and was the first person to serve as chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee. As author of the firm’s Delaware Intellectual Property Litigation blog, Williams analyzes and discusses intellectual property decisions rendered by the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. He is currently a member of the Attorney Advisory Committee and the Local Rules Committee for the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
Williams is a dedicated civic leader who is a former president of the Delaware State Bar Association, a former president of the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, Inc., and has served in several other leadership positions in the Delaware, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia bar associations. Williams is also a former chair and member of the State of Delaware Judicial Nominating Commission, former chair of the Delaware Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Highmark Delaware BCBSD, Inc.
